Sahityagi Pao

Sahityagi Pao is the official quarterly literary journal of Writers’ Forum, Imphal, published continuously since 1990. Over the years, it has become one of the most important literary records of Manipur, documenting literary developments, publications, seminars, symposia, workshops, poetry readings, and other significant literary activities. The journal is affectionately regarded as the Cheitharol Kumbaba of Manipuri Literature for its role in chronicling the literary history of the state.The journal features literary essays, criticism, poetry, short stories, book reviews, interviews, reports, and news of national and international literary significance. It also serves as a platform for established and emerging writers to share their creative and scholarly works. Sahityagi Pao carries ISSN 2278-9006 and is recognized as a peer-reviewed academic journal for the Manipuri language.
